well thank you everyone for the contribution but a ship is not grounded in a conventional way . If they connect the ground to the hull there is a possibility of electric shock is someone touches the hull & we know salt water ( sea water ) is a great conductor of electricity but ship is not grounded to the sea water by using metal projection like the way it is done for normal grounding .
